The 2nd Annual Greater Boston Lunar New Year Rolling Parade on Feb 27, 2022


Feb. 25, 2022, Boston, — C.A.C.A. Boston Lodge and the Chinese American Heritage Foundation are sponsoring the 2nd Annual Greater Boston Lunar New Year Rolling Parade this coming Sunday. Vehicles will assemble along Surface Road between Beach Street and Essex Street starting at 12:00 noon. Massachusetts State Police will be on hand to direct traffic and escort the motorcade along the parade route starting at 1:00 pm.

According to Wilson Lee, there are 20 AAPI organizations as co-sponsors and over 20 businesses as supporters. Below are draft locations for your review. Presentations and presenters are confirmed, arrival times are approximate and subject to traffic conditions. Please join the parade along the way on Sunday, Feb, 27.
1. Chinatown Lion Gate – 12:45 to 1:00 pm – Presentation by Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin R. Hayden
2. Malden City Hall, 215 Pleasant Street – 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm – Presentation by Malden Mayor Gary Christenson
3. Connexion Church, 149 Broadway, Somerville 1:30 pm to 1:45 pm – Presentation by Somerville Mayor Katjana Ballantyne

4. Cambridge City Hall, 795 Mass Ave – 1:45 pm to 2:00 pm Lion Dance & Presentation by Cambridge Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui
5. 29 Brattle Square, Cambridge – 2:00 pm to 2:15 pm Lion Dance
